The pattern says Ch 3, med shell in both shells, turn. Do I only ch 3 once at the beginning or twice for each shell

Oh Hi again, I just answered your  other question in the other thread.  I am going to offer an educated guess that this is the "turning" chain 3 which typically takes the place of a DC (I'm using US terms).  Is there an asterisk anywhere in than line?

What pattern are you making - is it one that is free on a blog or yarn website that you could post a link to?  (don't post the whole pattern here, that's against the rules.)  Or like I said on my other reply, take a look at the pattern photo of the finished item, that might help.
