Looking for an easy pattern

Vicky23

Question

Hi all, I am left handed crocheted, even though I have been crocheting a long time, I do repetitive stitches, like granny squares.  I am looking for new easy patterns.  I have tried C2C and gave up on it. Please help.

I 'get' why c2c is confusing, it takes a while to get the hang of it.  I assume you are talking about blanket patterns?

Have you thought of just going through a stitch dictionary, picking a stitch that appeals to you, an working back and forth?  You can make a chain as long as you want the width to be, and add a few more just in case, turn and work back as far as you can fit the stitch repeat into.  Later, you can pick out the leftover chains, it won't unravel from the starting-knot direction.

This site has lots of interesting stitches https://newstitchaday.com/  the link is the main page, go to 'stitchionary', then 'crochet stitches', an pick the sort of stitch you want to look at.  They have video and written instructions.

If you like the idea of working on the bias, but not the crazy stitch/brick stitch/c2c stitch and whatever other names it goes by, here's one that has a 'granny element' but stripes as well https://www.acrochetedsimplicity.com/on-the-bias-square-afghan-free-crochet-blanket-pattern/

Search for patterns for left handed crochet.  Search term ie crocheting for left handed people or left handed crochet patterns.
