Embossed Afghan

Recommended Posts

I got this pattern quite a while ago and thought what the heck.  It is made with squares, 12 actually.  3 across and 4 down.

It fascinated me with just doing bpdc and fpdc, you can come out with this beautiful pattern.  There is another in the book to make it look like flowers.  This is called the leaf pattern.  https://www.anniescatalog.com/detail.html?prod_id=135688&cat_id=125

I did it in blue and it took about 4 skeins of Red Heart Super Saver in Lt. Blue 7 oz.'s each skein.

I took a picture of it on a queen size bed.

Wow, so pretty! Post stitches can be very pretty, but for me are slow work.

Very pretty, I love that blue color :)

You did great job on that blanket.

How big is that blanket?

It's beautiful Mary Jo! One of my patterns uses the same technique. Though it's one big square.

Thank you all.  The book I have, has several patterns.  This is the leaf and there is one for a flower.

Krys the afghan is 42 X 56.
