Elephant blanket

35 years ago I made a blanket for my son. I was 8 simple granny square surrounding an afghan stitch center with an elephant appliqued. He is now expecting his first and I would love to replicate it.

Any chance you have a photo of the old blanket you could post? That would help a lot because there are so many elephant blankets out there.

I know it was a long time ago, but do you remember if it was in a magazine or a book?
