I hope I am posting this in the correct space I just joined because of that Raverly which I am no longer a part of and was looking for a forum that could help me when I get stuck. I am still just learning how to crochet and am trying to make blankets for the pets at the shelters.

Note: The only way I found this forum was reading some comments in regards to why people left Ravelry.

We currently have 5 active CALs.  Most have an explanation on page 1 but jump in and ask questions if you have any.  Your pet blankets for the shelter will fit in nicely on the boxing day 2019 any charity cal.  There is another person that posts regularly that makes the cutest cat blankets for a shelter.

Question: I see in the sponsor section where you can buy yarn and I see Yarnispirations, I have been using them to get my yarn from but do you get a discount if you tell them you are on this forum or is just showing you a place to buy yarn?🤔

I dont really know but think it would say in that section.  They may be one of the places that runs an advertisement here.  Places that advertise here often list coupon codes in their add to enter when you order.  

 The admins had many big plans for this forum and through the years added many sections and didnt follow through with keeping them current and active.  Many upgrades made it difficult for members to navigate so members tend to just link in to a specific thread rather than wade thru all those sections.  

Dont know if you noticed they are planning another upgrade any day now so it will be down for awhile and we have no idea what changes are in store.

Just a faithful member trying to help keep this place alive.  It used to be a busy place with lots of activity.  Through the years many people just disappeared.  The admins used to be really active here but they have become busy with other things.  The few of us that stayed worry that some day they will close it down.  We are excited to see new members and hope to see this place buzzing with activity again.

@HappyEndings Welcome to Crochetville! Glad to have you here! We'll definitely be glad to help when you get stuck. We have some dedicated folks here who are very good at answering crochet questions in our Crochet Help forum. Things are much quieter around here than they used to be (sadly myself and the other admin Amy got involved in other projects and didn't give Crochetville much attention) but we are starting the process to revitalize. A lot of people miss the old buzz and hubbub.

After our web host move and forum upgrade a few days ago, we've been working on major cleanup and renovation. 🛠️
