After I do:

1- magic ring, ch 1, 6 Sc in ring

2- Inc in each around

3- Inc , Sc 1; rpt around

4- Inc, Sc 5; rpt around

what does rpt mean?

i thought repeat but that would be (18) and 5 would have fall out right!

Rpt is short for repeat.

Round 1 you should have 6 sc in your ring

Round 2: you will work 2 sc in each sc of previous round so 12 sc total for that round

Round 3: 2 sc in first sc of previous round, sc in next sc of previous round repeat this sequence of stitches around (which means you do this sequence 6 times and you would have 18 sc total on this round

Round 4: 2 sc in first sc of previous round, sc in each of next 5 sc of previous round, repeat this sequence of stitches around which means you would do this sequence of stitches 3 times and would have a total of 21 sc total on this round.

This pattern is written in more of a shorthand rather than the standard for writing patterns.
