Question

Hello, I myself am not much of a crocheter, but I created this throwaway account to hopefully find a pattern for my sister, who is much more talented in this area then I ever was (I lack the patience required).
I'm in search of a pattern of a large lion plush for a gift. Years ago when we were both kids and my sister was just getting into crochet, she made this large lion plush. It was, if memory serves, the first major project she had completed, and she had talked recently of hoping to find the pattern to make it again (sort of a see how far she's come kind of thing). I'm fairly certain it came from a magazine printed in the early 90s, but there is a possibility it was one of those free fliers they have in crafting sections (but I'm really leaning towards magazine).
The lion had a large heard and blubous-y kind of eyes, with eyelids that kind of (to me, anyway) made him look half asleep. His mane was a bunch of curly, braided-like yarns, and his colors (which I'm fairly certain were by the book, but I'm really not 100% sure) were blue, orange, and red (with white for the eyes, and claws he sported on his hands and feet). His eyelids were blue, as well as blue mixed in with orange (I believe) in the mane. His body was red, with orange on the stomach and pads of his paws. I think his name started with an S? But I can't remember if that was from the pattern itself, or something my sister named him...
I wish I could post a picture of the lion in question, as that would be the easiest, but I am unsure as to where it would be, and I am weary on asking my sister too many questions about it (I want this to be a surprise for her, and I don't want her to get suspicious).
I know it'll be an old pattern, so I'm sure it's a longshot, but I thought I would try here. I'm sorry this is all so vague! I've tried to do multiple searches around online, but to no avail. If anyone has any suggestions at all, I would love to hear them!
Thank you so much!!
