Good Morning.

Hey Lyn, welcome to the early morning group.

Not much today.  Tree people coming mid day.

Got appointment for blood test coming here on the 10th.

Just wanted to stop in and say Hi!

I already cancel two appointments to doctors/specialist. Those two doctors got there offices in a huge buildings (many buildings connected together with hospitals). Each place is so HUGE with a lot of elevators.. There got to be many hundred's of people at any time. According what I am thinking about that ..there is NO WAY that any of those huge places with so many people there do not have that Virus there!!. One of those places is University of Chicago, that is HUGE!.

Couple days ago I did had that so called  "Telephone doctor visit". To tell you the truths I think that is just a waist of time, they can not even check your blood pressure and no tests or ex-rays either.  I guess those doctors need to make money somehow.. LOL. Maybe in some cases that could be helpful, like a  some kind of skin cut?, maybe even Sinus infection if someone explains what kind of pain they are having. So maybe they could get prescription for antibiotics?.

I know I will have to go at least to my family doctor IF I want to get a Flu shot & my yearly check-up ( way overdo...).  At least her office is in a very small building, not many people there. I will have to tel them: "I will NOT be going there to that waiting room!. I will wait on a parking lot, they can call me when my doctor will be ready to see me!".

As for hair salons, I am not going there!. Today I will call and try to get one of them to come to my house. I used to have a lady Hair Dresser she was coming to my house for about 8 years or so..She moved to a different State to help her sister to take care of her old/sick father.

Right now I need to find a good professional to trim all my bushes front & back. That guy who is moving my lawn I do not trust him that he is capable of doing good job on my bushes..? :(. He says he can, but I don't! LOL.

Many years ago when my husband was a life we got someone to trim our bushes in our back yard (thank God it was only back yard!). We were out that day. That guy destroyed those bushes complitely! :(. Anyway it was not a big loss because year later we were pulling out many of those bushes & trees to build our in-ground swimming pool. But that guy really did a "number" on those bushes, for the most part only roots were left & some kind of "sticks" here & there..:(. I was ready to cry.

Good morning everyone.  Thank you for your comments and info about how you go out.  Fortunately I don't really need to go anywhere except medical appointments.  Sometimes you just feel like you want to go somewhere.  We drove down to Mt. Rainier a couple of days ago.  Parked and went for a short walk.  Didn't go into the visitors center or gift shop.  Most people wearing masks even though they were outside.  The close up view of the mountain is so beautiful.

Still have a haircut schedule for next week.  I have the first appointment of the day so I feel ok about that at at this point.

Can't believe it's almost Labor Day.  I am amazed how fast the months go by while basically doing not much.

Take care everyone!

Got a hair appointment at 10.  We got a call yesterday to change it from 9 to 10.  Our hairdresser has a class this morning.

Quiet start of the Labor Day Weekend.

Have a great day.

Good Saturday morning, woke up to a jungle tune on his phone at 6AM, made me laugh, have a catch in my back I'm trying to work out, tried heating pad,no help yet,all therapies went well this week, can't believe it's almost going to take 6 weeks to recuperate from this. This reminds me of the song long and winding road for some reason.

Now that is one adorable Princess.  I can imagine the boys are driving you crazy.  That is why you have them when you are young.

Congrats to Mom, Dad, Grandpop and Grandmom, for the new addition to the family.

Hi everyone. Just popping in to look around. Haven't felt great for a couple of days. Come to find out, a stomach bug passed through the family that lasts usually for about 2 days. Of course for me, being an old biddy, it takes a little longer. On the mend though. We're still having excessive heat warnings. I think it was 105°F today, 107°F tomorrow. Guess who's staying indoors? LOL Working on the treasure box for the grandkids still. More to come.

Anyone heard from magiccrochetfan? She has not been on in awhile. Hoping all is well with her.

bgs: Congratulations to your family. Princess Amelia is beautiful. Her sweet little face made my day.

pineknott: You're welcome for the card and butterfly. Recuperation can be annoying but in the long run, therapy will be well worth it.

Tampa Doll: Hope the haircut went to your liking. I found out my stylist just started back to work but I'm being a wuss about being in public more than necessary since I already have health problems. I need a cut so bad though.

Have a safe a joyful holiday weekend.

I wish she was mine but alas Princess Amelia belongs to minwifeof4boys.   Stomach bug and the heat what a double whammy.  Hope both pass soon.  Looks like last time magic logged in was Aug 18.

I actually just left to come home today, I spent the last 4 days with my ex husbands wife at my son's house watching the boys, it went surprisingly well even though I was not thrilled of the situation in the beginning, but she had lost her job and I was great ful for the help , 3 boys 5 and under with virtual school mixed in can be trying... now I think I will sleep for 48 hours... keep hydrated bgs!..

Try to elevate your legs. Lie down & position your legs higher that your heart for and hour or two and see if that will help?

Few years ago I was trying everything..including water pills , than double dose of them for over a  year!. All those doctors could not figure it out WHY my legs were swelling??. And it was all because of new  & very expensive lounge chair I bought. It was too big and was cutting off my blood circulation in my legs.

Thank God the mechanics in that chair broke and I started using a different one. That is when I find out my legs were no longer swelling up. I was using that chair a LOT at that time. It was after my surgery, I needed to rest & rest & rest......:(. They could had busted  my heart with those high dosages of water pills.

I hope your legs are not swelling up for the same reason as mine were..:(

There are 2 types of Pneumonia vaccines. One is every 5 years and the other is a one time shot called Prevnar-13 and for the 65+ age range. I had the Prevnar-13 last March, but there is not a record of me receiving it on my Patient Portal Record with the hospital. Now I have to contend with the doctor's office to get it straightened out. Grrrrr. All is good though. At least I know I'm protected.

110°F here today. I'm melting! :sweat

I got my haircut today.  Seven months without a haircut is a long time for me.  A different person is looking back at me in the mirror now.  May take some getting use to.  I went to a salon where only one person was working today.  I had the first appointment of the day and I was finished and gone before anyone else came in so I felt pretty good about the situation.  I got kind of emotional going in the salon.  It's the only place I been to except medical appointments since the first of March.  Enjoy your Labor Day.
