I think it is a corner to corner chevron.

I agree it's the same stitch, but the way it's rolled up I can't tell if it's on the diagonal (corner to corner) or not.  The same [box stitch, crazy stitch brick stitch--probably has more names for the same thing]  can be worked back and forth in even rows too, and if you change colors every 2 or so rows would look like a chevron as well.  Brick stitch worked in even rows
