Help with Brand Name

Hi everyone!

I am pretty sure I came up with a name. I sell by word of mouth now but wanted to expand into selling on at craft shows, on Facebook and other sites such as but not limited to Esty. My problem is I’m not sure how to find out if the name/brand is taken. I don’t want to create business cards, a logo or anything just to find out the brand name is taken and have to change it. 

Anyone know how to go about finding out. Or can direct me in the right direction to start.

I'm no expert, but I'd start with googling your business name, also search on Etsy, Ravelry, Amazon and other platforms that do pass thru sales (I don't do Facebook and didn't know that was a business platform, but wouldn't hurt to search there too).  Good luck with your business!
