Would like to have clarification on the following: row 2

I am a retired elementary teacher. I learned to crochet as a young girl but haven’t crocheted since long ago. 

I retired 3 years ago and love crocheting but do not always understand the pattern. 

I would love some help with my project I’m starting now.

Hi  and Welcome  to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell.

I may confuse you even more, so if I do go to General help and you will get lots of help there.

You will chain 2 - if your first DC on last row do a half DC. then in the chain 3 space of each shell that you made on the last row, make a shell, then do a half DC in the last DC in the row.   Your row will look half dc, shell, shell, shell, half dc. Of course you will have more shells then I post, but you can get the idea.  Hope this helps some.
