Good Morning !

I was invited over here because I am working on blankets for Project Linus. My DAR group has chosen this charity. I am trying to make three blankets by March 1.

I am just edging some fleece fabric. So far I have one blanket done.

Hi Ratdog...welcome!  I'll bet it's fun to try new borders. Are you using the Edgerydo? I got one early in my crochet days but found the process a bit tidious.  I ended up marking the holes with a Sharpie and then using a 1/16" punch to make the holes. Seemed easier to me. Anyway, glad to have you here.

Darski, I do like the shape of that shawl.  Long ago I saw a you tube video where a gal made a shawl that had cuffs that I thought was really different. You obviously couldn't use it for a scarf, but I liked the way it looked.

Hey Cindy, I love how you say "yawn, I made four hats last night" (I am paraphrasing), but 4 hats in one night? Even if they are preemie, that's still pretty dang good.

I am not sure if I shared this with you guys. My brother (who visited 2 yarns shops with me on our 4 day vacation in Wisconsin) got me this sweatshirt for Christmas. Too bad it's not cooler here more often.

Hi all!!

This past week I was working on the diapers for my preemie berevement sets. I've now got all 48 hats and all 96 diapers finished. Next up is the little tunic tops, which I've done 3 of the 48 I need, and then it will be on to the blankets. I'll have to take a break from these for the next week or so though. I've decided to make a special baby blanket for a military couple expecting their first and he's due in Feb, so I really need to get cracking on that and I'm only halfway done with it. I'm also really needing to get going on the welcoming committee baby blankets for my church...we've got a baby boy due at the end of Feb and another due in April that I've got to make blankets for.... so I'll be focusing on those three baby blankets until they're done and then picking up the preemie sets after.

Last night I cleaned up my mother in law’s yarn collection.  I made a few premie hats out of some of her bits and pieces.image.thumb.jpg.877969c79d2baa574127b3c2bfe20f71.jpg

these hats are so cute.  I wanted to start making preemie hats with my blankets.  Do you have a pattern for the hats?

I used this pattern for those hats. The bigger ones have an extra increase round.

There is a hat sizing guide on this site too, so you could even make up your own pattern.   I often do the first two rounds of this pattern and then use a different stitch pattern to finish the hat.

I have also used this one:

Chris you are on a roll.  Love seeing your doll clothes and love your blog.  Besides it being a good record for yourself of what you made and any notes to yourself it is a wonderful resource to others.
