Aspiring Nana

It's been 6 year since I first picked up my first set of knitting needles & yarn (Crochet hook to soon follow). I discovered I was to be a "Nana". I was notorious for buying 1 skein of every color in a particular yarn. Hence The STASH. Manage to reduce it just a bit with this blanket.

No, 5 skeins of Red Heart Pompadour. Glad to have it out of my stash. I've got it soaking in fabric softener because it really needs it.

Oh that is a great color for a baby afghan.  Are you saying the Red Heart Pompadour is scratchy?

I believe it to be. I bought this yarn as part of a large lot at an estate sale. Who knows how old it may be. Just washing didn't help much, but I soaked it in fabric softener for 2 hours (because I forgot about it) and it helped a lot.

I put the pattern on my blog, it's a variation of a stitch pattern I saw on YouTube.
