Baby Girl Shower Gifts

It's been over thirty years since we've had a girl born into our family so when a friend is having a girl I can go a wee bit nuts.  So much fun to have an excuse to make girly things.   Here's what I've made so far.  I may make a couple more things if I can't control myself.  Her crib blanket has an elephant, monkey, koala, and a cockatoo on it so I made the elephant.

What yarn did you use? I might try this for a girl blanket I need to make, but was thinking of bigger than fingering, so it would be bigger than car seat size.

The yarn is Michael's Snuggly Wuggly Doodle Dots.  I heard a rumor it may be discontinued so I wouldn't wait long to get it. Not on sale it's 9.99 a skein, 10.5oz skeins,  you'll need 2 skeins but will probably have a lot of leftover so maybe 3 skeins would make 2 blankets?  Have fun.
