HI! My name's April. I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I just started teaching myself to crochet a couple of weeks ago using a book and some YouTube. I've made a couple of hats and some flowers and jewelry wraps. I'M IN LOVE!  I'm struggling with getting the right gauge. Typically, I stitch to tightly. It's quite frustrating and I'm trying to figure out how to fix it.

I love finding new patterns. I'm currently working on a ribbed hat that has a braided effect for my 16 year old son. I was so worried about it being too small that I went up a hook size and tried to loosen my stitches. Now, I'm afraid it may be too big. *Fingers crossed* that it turns out okay.
