Happy Saturday!!

So I am reporting on the past two weeks due to the hurricane...I completed my Something Magic blanket and used another skein and ball on that (+3). I made a stuffed Santa that I am so completely not in love with but my youngest loves it so it's not a total loss..used a total of 2 skeins and 5 balls on that (+9). I made a gingerbread girl and used 2 balls there (+2). I made myself a cardigan and used 4 skeins and a ball (+9). And I have made the next section of the Myriad CAL and one of ten bonus squares to make it a rectangular blanket at the end...finally finished a skein on that (+2).

WTD: +28 (12 last week, 16 this week)

YTD: +169

Reminder: This is the last week of the month, so please post both your WTD and YTD scores on Saturday.

I just made an impulse buy. I won a vest ebook and there are a couple of patterns I like. Looked up the yarn for one and it's a Mary Maxim that's on clearance. So I'll be in the negative for 8 skeins probably next week.

I worked on some dishcloths while the younger GD was here yesterday but didn't use up any skeins.

I received the most wonderful gift today. A dear friend was so thoughtful and giving to think of me when she decided to de-stash her thread. Blessed is not even close to how I feel right now. My heart is full of love for her. 💗 Pretty sure I'll have negative numbers this week, month, year. 😊

Lovely.  I envy you the ability to use thread :manyheart

Thanks Darski! I really enjoy working with thread. Although when trying to bust  a stash, it takes forever! Here's my latest. This is going to the lady that gifted the thread to me.

Managed to make it through another skein, working on my niece’s afghan!  I’m making good progress with it.  I’m almost done with the socks I’m also knitting, so after that I’ll be able to devote more time to the afghan.

So:

WTD:  +2  YTD:  -66

Happy Saturday everyone!!

This week I made the rest of the bonus squares for my Myriad CAL (total of 10) and did the 8th section of Myriad. I finished 4 skeins on that (+8). I also made a Gingerbread Boy to go with the girl I made last week and used 2 balls (+2). And then a Pumpkin Cuddler that took 2 balls (+2). I've started the first square on a new crochet-themed CAL that just started today! This is something new for me...they gave everyone the first square, then once you finish the square you have to post a picture of it to the group and request the next design you want to complete. Should be interesting.

WTD: +12

YTD: +181

I didn't see any posting of weekly scores yet, so I'll add mine. I've used 2 skeins and 5 balls (+ 9). But, I gained 3 skeins (14 oz.) and 1 ball (- 8). I made 3 preemie hats, 4 kid/teen size hats, 3 pocket prayer shawls and 1 pot holder.

WTD: + 1  YTD: + 120

I can't get color, change size or get emoticons. What's up?

Also, I don't like this long skinny format.

Hi all!

This week I worked on both my CALs...completed Something Magic part 7 and Myriad parts 4, 5, & 6. I finally finished 3 skeins on Magic (+6). Then I decided that I am going to make stuffies in between working on these CALs because now I'm all caught up so I'm probably going to have some down time waiting for the next parts to be released...and I think there's only another week or two for Something Magic...so I printed out a bunch of patterns, organized my stash, saw a 30% off coupon for Michaels and went and got the yarn I needed for my new to-do list! 8 skeins (-16). Today I made a Frankenstein's Monster cuddler and about 90% of a Vampire cuddler. I used a total of 9 balls (+9) on those.

WTD: -1

YTD: +141

I'm wondering if I could pick your collective brains on something though...it's just been announced that my church is holding a craft and vendor fair in late November. I'm thinking it could be fun to do one at some point as a way to reach new customers. is $25 a reasonable fee for a 10 x 10 space including a 6 ft table and 2 chairs? Also, what kinds of items would you suggest I make to bring? I'm thinking Christmas themed cuddlers, maybe some stockings, possibly bring a finished CAL blanket as a backdrop? Would it be strange to have pictures of items I've done to take orders from? Would baby dresses and blankets be good? I honestly have no frame of reference with this, so any info or tips would be hugely appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!:manyheart

Most church fairs I've been to the people get a folding card table (square), or they bring one. The spaces are probably 6X6 and they are very close to other tables (8 -10 in. apart). I don't know how much they pay for it. But if you have enough things and think you can make $150 - $200, it would be worth it. Holliday items are very good seller in Nov.
