6 pointed star THANKS EVERYONE. I FOUND ONE I COULD USE.

I make pocket prayer shawls (4 in. squares with a cross), and someone requested the Jewish star for some friends. I had a 6 pointed star pattern, but I can't find it. In the show and tell section hookdonU had a yarmulke pattern with the star. Does anyone know how to contact her? Any patterns for a 6 pointed star (4 - 4 1/2 in. square/hexagon) would be helpful.

Have you tried crochetpatterncentral.com?  Or google "free crochet patterns"--that brings up many different sites.

Are you looking for a thread or yarn pattern?  Since you mentioned yarmulke, I'm thinking thread?  I'm fairly sure I've seen 6 sided stars in thread squares (like for a runner or tablecloth) ... another thing to search for might be snowflake, since they have 6 points; there might be something you could use and omit the picots for example.   I'll see if I can find something, will be back...

I know you said square, some of these are just stars, some are part of a round or hexagonal motifs.  Found 1 in a square.  There are lots of other 6 pointed star motifs, but many were more like flowers or snowflakes.

Thanks Granny Square: I liked your sites. I really liked the Christmas star garland, but it's only in video form not a written pattern. I printed out the coasters and I'll see if I can print star of David (in the square).

The OP has 2 threads on this, the other pattern request (that you posted to earlier) was added to the end of an older project thread by hookedonU.  I think for a 'pocket' star, yours would be sturdiest and work better than the ones I found.
