Deacon's Stole

I'm new here and very excited to see if anyone can help me. My husband will be ordained a deacon in the Catholic Church in November of 2020. Would like to find a crochet pattern to make him some stoles. Must be the kind that go over one shoulder and something that's not to difficult as I am barely intermediate in my skill level. Any and all guidance appreciated!

Hi and welcome!

I had to look that up.  I didn't see any patterns off hand.  Maybe someone else knows of one.

You could find a scarf pattern, add a graph if you want, and make it as long as you need to work.

Thanks. I'm afraid that a scarf won't lay correctly on the shoulder. Guess I'll just have to play around and adapt something! 😊

welcome from too :-)   can you link to a picture of the kind of thing you want?  or describe it?  how is it worn exactly?

It looked kind of like a scarf or a sash with tails so with fiddling maybe it could work.  Maybe I'm wrong though.  I couldn't find a good sash pattern.

My husband's is a Catholic deacon, and I thought crocheting a stole would be a nice quarantine project. Did you find a pattern?
