Hi all,

My name is Stundinchen and I am new here I am German, but have been living abroad for more than ten years. At the moment I am in rainy England.

I am new to crocheting as well. I had tried it last when I was about 15 and didn't get very far. Never truly lost the interest though and kept it on my look-into-that-one-day list. Recently I came across a free box with crochet magazines, including hooks and yarn and took that as a hint that one-day had arrived.

My goal is to crochet an animal or doll for my godchild, but that seems quite far ahead I am looking forward to be part of this community along the way! Happy crocheting everyone!!

Some people make a toy as their first project. Look for beginner amigurumi. If you want to work up to it, start with beginner round projects, like a coaster, can cozy, or small basket. Amigurumi is mostly round things sewn together.
