hooded blanket

Roe

Question

I have completed a crocheted wrap for my granddaughter.  I want to add a hood to it.  All patterns I see add hood to the right or left side rather than the finished edge of the wrap.  I want to add it to the finished side because of the size I created.  Is it wrong in the crochet world to add anything to the finished edge or last row of the blanket?  Would greatly appreciate any responses.

I agree. It's your creation, so you can add the hood wherever you want. There's no right or wrong way to create something. Also, the beauty of crochet is that if you don't like something, you can remove it without hurting the whole project. Make the hood where you want, then decide if you like it or not. :)
