Chain Length.

Hi,  

I am crocheting a granny rectangle that will be 140cm x 40cm when finished. Am i right in thinking that my starting chain needs to be 100cm long?

Also, the Crochet Crowd did calculations for rectangles that fit bed sizes (assuming worsted weight yarn and an average tension) ... http://thecrochetcrowd.com/rectafghans/

Redrosesdz - I'm curious how you posted the link to the old thread; maybe the new forum software does something different.  In the past posting the URL to a thread would show up as http://blah blah etc.  The way it shows in your post is kind of cool.

HI GS!  It's the new forum's software.  All I did was copy and past the link.  After pressing enter, it switched to what you see above.  I did the same copy, paste, press enter after the crochetcrowd link and it stayed a link.  I give up trying to figure it out and just accept whatever it displays.
