Hello, I am looking for an Elmo crochet afghan pattern that does not contain a graph.... I just want to follow written directions. I found one called a granny square 

Elmo blanket but I cant seem to down load the pattern... can somebody help??

Elmo is a licensed character.  So, unless Sesame Street sponsors an Elmo afghan crochet pattern (they don't from what I can tell), any pattern out there is against copyright and licensing laws.  We can't help you at all with illegal activity.

If the pattern is free then it is fan art .

If the pattern is for sale itnis copyright violation.

Same for the finished afghan. If it is a gift it is ok. If you plan on selling it it is a copyright violation.
