Seeking lacy vest pattern

Green Gables

Question

Hi! I'm new here...Well, actually, I've been lurking for a long time, but I'm new to posting. I'm looking for an open-weave, lacy type of vest....Maybe a pineapple pattern, or roses in the vest...But I'm open to pretty much any patterns. I'm looking for a hip-length vest at least. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi!  Do you want to use any particular weight of yarn?  i think I've seen a pineapple one , I am pretty sure it was in thread or fingering wt yarn.  I will try to relocate it if you are interested.

I think this is what I was thinking of, Pinecone Top http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pinecone-top

However , it is in thread, and I forgot it has a cap sleeve. But if you are interested, you can get the entire magazine for 6.99 http://www.interweave.com/store/crochet-summer-2011-digital-edition

Will see what I can find in fingering wt :-)

What do you think of mandala vests?  They are giant circles with slits for sleeves.  I just made one using solomon's knots and it's very figure flattering.  There are a ton of them out here.

This is just the first one I saw when googling mandala vest crochet patterns....

Here is a free pineapple top, it has tie straps but I'm sure you could sub plain rectangular straps that are a couple of inches wide (like the straps from the Carice pattern below).  If you scroll down at the left side of this pattern site there is link to another pullover top pattern by the same designer, not pineapples but is lacy, with a cap sleeve (Lea Blouse).  The pineapple one calls for #3 crochet cotton which might be a little heavier than fingering; you could see if you get gauge with 3.75mm (F in US)  hook and your pink fingering.   Lea Blouse calls for #8 pearl cotton and F hook...sort of fine thread weight but with F hook again fingering yarn might work?

Another Free pattern, little pineapples uses 5/2 crochet cotton (similar size to #10 thread) and G hook.

I had to remove a link to a Pinterest search that contained pins to a lot of places that had potentially infringing posts.

While Pinterest can be a good source of pattern inspiration, it is also full of pins that contain pattern charts from sites on which they were uploaded without permission.

If you want to share links to Pinterest, please take care to post a link to a specific pin, and take the time to verify that the pin goes back to an original, legitimate source for the pattern.

Thanks for helping us make sure we aren't helping to direct people to infringing sources for patterns.
