seeking where to get this pattern

It looks like the pattern was published in Good Housekeeping magazine. You could try sending the images to the magazine to see if they can help.

Maybe somebody here will recognize the pattern and have the back issue of the magazine and be willing to part with it.

It looks like a fairly basic square motif. You may be able to search the Ravelry.com database for afghan patterns that use square motifs and find something similar. As long as the square shape is similar, you can come up with your own yarn color choices to duplicate the effect in these photos.

Some general info: To prevent copyright issues, our site policies state that members can only upload their own photos. This pattern is likely old enough that there is not any other way to easily identify the original pattern. Since the intent is to identify and locate the original pattern, although the magazine photos are still under copyright, I'm going to make an exception and allow them to remain in this particular case.

There is one that is very similar in an out of print Annie's Attic book called:  Ultimate Book of Quilt Afghans.

Amazon does have it for $48.50.  Or you could look in your library and used book stores.

Here is the Ravelry page for it but you have to be a member of Ravelry to see it.

Not identical; free pattern with similar 'look' however, with the 4 pointed star in the center of a square motif.

You might look at the stars in this US flag pattern.  It might come out a little differently with ombre yarn however, as it looks like the star starts from the center, but then each 'ray' is made separately
