Crocodile stitch confusion

Help I don't understand this pattern.

I found it on the internet. I tried contacting yarnovations for help.

I have attached a pic of the pattern.

I have looked at different tutorials and most start with a ring. I'm not understanding where the ring is coming from in this pattern.

instead of a ring you are making stitches around the post of 2 dc stitches.  

 

we really aren't supposed to post photos or screenshots of patterns, according to site guidelines .  is this a free pattern that you could link to instead?

I fixed my earlier post.
