Virus Shawl

I've started a virus shawl (my first shawl actually) and I'm wondering if anyone else has done one of these.  I haven't seen any that are fringed and I'm wondering if fringe may be a little much for this particular shawl once it's finished.

I can't really envision it with fringe.  It's really beautiful with your color choices as it is.  Great job!

That's really pretty! In my opinion, a fringe would be too much and may take away from the beauty of the stitches. Edging, borders, fringes, etc. should enhance the main body.

That's a great idea.  I'm also looking for ideas for crochet gifts this year.  Was thinking of a cowl for my granddaughter.  She seems to like those.

I made an afghan for my mother-in-law last year, as well as several other afghans.  I wanted to do something less time consuming this year.

My daughter and I went to JoAnn in her area yesterday and looked at yarn.  The JoAnn close to her has so much better of a selection than the store in my area ... the yarn area must be ten times bigger than my regular store.  Anyway, there were more colors there than on the website.  Both my daughter and stepdaughter said they loved the colors, but my daughter said she would rather have hers in the gray tones or brown tones because she likes the more neutral colors to actually wear.  So I'll ask my stepdaughter if this is too colorful for her to actually wear and would she prefer something more neutral.  If so, this may be a birthday gift for a friend of mine.
