That certainly is a labor of love. Would love to be able to do that but don't know if I have the patience for it. Where did you get the pattern from. May I ask. ?

Hi Mari Alice, welcome to the ville!

She linked to the pattern listing in the third post in this thread, on page 1; here is the link to the Ravelry listing http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/persian-tile-blanket   However, its unclear whether you can just buy the pattern, or have to get the kit but you could look around on the Janiecrow site and see what you can find out.  the kit might be a pretty good deal. 

An available pattern that is similar is Moorish Mosaic http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/moorish-mosaic-afghan  you can buy it form the designer or on the Interweave site.   the original and most projects used  a lot of different colors to make each tile look different, but if you used the same colors throughout, it would look more like the Persian Tile.  you might look through the project photos to see color combinations you like for it.  

I think there are other sort of similar patterns out there so let us know if you would like other pattern suggestions.

Hello Mari Alice and thanks for the help magiccrochetfan! The pattern is available on its own as well as in the kit. I bought it separately but in hindsight it would have been cheaper to buy the kit. Good luck with the project, if you do it, it is very rewarding but a lot of work!

Hi Eisbarin, your blanket is beautiful!

 I thought the kit looked like a pretty good price.  Plus the convenience of getting all the colors and not having to hunt them down.
