Katy I guess it was a fluid pack she had the bump.  Still no eat.  While dh was out picking up some things she started breathing really hard called the vet we saw today and was told to get her to the nearest vet or er to get another breathing treatment.  Dh had just stopped at the nearest office and had their office hours and they did the breathing treatments so I got her there 10 miles versus 40 miles one way.  I really liked this vet too.  He used to do ER medicine at the ER place we would have taken her.  He even had the chambers for the inhaler dh picked up.  They gave her a treatment some oxygen and a couple of other things they would have given her at the ER.  Dh met me there and had her inhaler so this vet gave us a lesson and her first dose.  We bought a chamber there even though it was more so we now have her rescue inhaler. Will return the other when it comes.

Oh bgs I sure hope she starts to feeling better poor baby.

Its the worst when they get sick and we just have to figure it out. I wish I could talk to mine and they talk to me and I actually understand. Maybe one day. You're in my prayers.

Oh Brenda my best for the furry friend.

Trying to get to making some angels for my Christmas Cards.  I have to wait to make a deer head I sent for the kit.  Unfortunately, the kit comes with wool yarn.  I can not work with wool, even if it is a wool blend.  So I had to order a different type of yarn.

Not much, as usual, going on here.

Have a great day everyone.

I really thought we would lose her last night or this morning.  We all spent the night in the living room. Dh is taking it really hard.   I called the last office we saw yesterday to say she was worse and wanted to bring her in.  The vet did radiographs and said she had fluid, infectiotion, and scarification in her lungs.  It looked to him like an inhalation infection where they snort something in their lungs like a grass seed.  We left her in o2 chamber and he is gradually going to work with her so maybe there is hope.  He thought she would need to stay until mon.  I do really like this guy.  He used to work pet er.Meanwhile I am at the laundromat as she peed her blankets and a couple places on the carpet.

Katy we did the laundry stopped at the bank stopped for lunch went to the store and then stopped to see her on the way home and we felt she was comfortable.  They said come see her or call.  They have pretty good hours 730 to 6 mon thru fri 730 to 430 on sat.  As bad as we wanted to touch her we felt it better for her to not open the door to the o2 chamber.  I have run the steam vac where she had her accident but hey glad she peed that much and her blankies are all clean and back on the sofa ready for her when she gets to come home. Now I think its time to just crash for awhile.

Its just so hard as many of you know all to well.  She showed up shortly before we lost our last dog and he was going to be it.   Wanted her to move on as we were so not ready to become emotionally invested again in a little critter.  We had lost 3 about a year between each but she wormed her way into our hearts and eased our sorrow.  She is only 6.   Dh is staring at the huge dog crate she kenneled in. I am most worried about him.  She was his reason for getting up to go to work and to come back at night so his retirement and moving is becoming much more imminent.   She made his day. His bd is thurs.  Her cube full of toys sits across the room.  A lot of the house is set up for her entertainment, needs or to protect her.  Vet is concerned that he cant hear any air going through her lungs.  Still hoping for a miracle and so tired.

Good Morning,

Lacy thanks for the pictures.  Like Brenda, it did brighten my day.

Oh Katy I do hope your sister is better today.

Sorry I have not been on lately, but life has just gotten into the way.

I finally got my last charity package out, so maybe I can now work on something.  Hope the mojo comes back soon.

she alternated calling me Linda, when she said something to Bill I became " the girl",she will be 97 Dec. 30,the sister is 93,yes this is the same sister with the problems and is now in a home herself, the Dr. thought it would be good for her to see her sister one more time, she seems more advanced with the altzheimers,at times she was just talking jibberish that no one could understand.mom was talking to me in German and Anna was translating to English.yes I went up to the hotel room,we don't bring mom to the house anymore, that would lead to lots of problems getting her back to the home, hopefully it goes better today for him,he is on his own with her in the car,I'm watching Jimmy so Rene' can go to a rock painting get together at a flower nursery, him with the wheelchair,I didn't think there would be enough room, and it gives her some time away

hi all  no news on tc or from Brenda  im worried  but sister   is headed home today she  has one more test but she can do that monday as an outpatient that way wont have to stay the weekend  she is sounding better and hopefully her damage from the mild stroke will improve in time  im glad shes going home and i bet her nurses are too  she will be much more comfortable and recoop better at home  she did get good news though from her cancer docter that the tumor  is way shrunk now and maybe a few more chemo doses and then talked of bringing in a lung surgeon to see if removing the rest little bit is do-able  she has gone through all the hard stuff it seems so i hope she continues to fight till she wins   it was particularly hard to talk to her on the phone as she is always so doom and gloom and that reached epic levels while she was there She spoke of cremation and suicide and dying constantly so nuch so that i informed the charge nurse so they could keep very close tabs on her and she told me   telling me if i didnt come and get her that night she was admitted she would be dead by morning  this is typical of her at times like that but still hard to cope with you know

i know brenda  we werent looking for another pet after ginger passed but about 2 years to thre month later i think  there came mini and then mini was snatched from us and we went through it all again  least we can hope she is living the good life in her old-new home lol  that is why we have not gotten another dog  well the main reason anyway  cant keep up or chase a puppy anymore no less house break it and to get an older doggie just means they might leave us again to soon so what to do

we have never lived without a dog or two in the house and want one but   are hesitant  i guess if its neant to be it will happen without us having much to do with it   all for now hope all is well and prayers for TC  and my sis as well thanks

No good news.Spent an hour there this morning opening the glass door for a minute or so to touch her.  Then went to bonsai to try to have a normalish day.  Most likely Mon will be it.  One of the hardest things for me is the incredible aloneness I will feel when dh goes off to work or whatever.  The tv helps a bit but you all help a lot.

Brenda, I'm so sorry you're having to go through these rough days with your kitty.  Dh and I have only had two pets in the last 49 years, but we know the heartbreak of goodbyes!  We didn't consciously go out and get either one;  Mannix, 3/4 wolf and 1/4 Husky, was our first, given to us by dh's boss, who brought him to work with him, and "didn't dare go home WITH him!"  Our second, a beautiful gray cat, Shadow, "adopted" US!  Both left us too early, and it still hurts.  But I like to think they'll be waiting for us in Heaven! (I'm pretty sure they are good friends up there!)  We'll say some prayers for you!

Thank you so much.  I cant begin to tell you how grateful I am for all of you.  We didnt choose ours either they chose us.  We have lost 4 of our own in the last 10 years along with 3 neighbors dogs we were very fond of along with sisters cat and nieces cat very fond of them too.
