I feel a little better. But I still have not been able to get in to see a GI doctor yet. My side and stomach hurts so bad, I can't get up and walk. I have to sit with heating pad on me. Or stay in bed. Hopefully soon I can get in to see the DR.

Congratulations snowbear. You will love your bag. I sure do hope you feel better. Hope you get to see the doctor soon and figure out what's going on. Try to relax as best as you can. Take care and sending lots of hugs and prayers your way.

Hercule's had a good night but I didn't.

My shoulders are killing me. Not sure what is going on with them. It's been going on for months and before Doc. Just put me on light duty and rest the shoulders but dang the pain today is like a pinched nerve or something. I might of slept on it wrong for the whole 3 hours I got. Oh I got to keep moving no time for pain.

Need to start really cleaning and getting ready for Easter .

It's right around the corner can you believe that??

Hope everyone else is doing great. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Katie Bug, hope your wrist and hands are feeling better.

Mary Jo guess it turned out better that they forgot to order a new pump since it saved you money.

SnowBear congratulations on your beautiful tote and goodies. Hope you get to the Dr. soon and feel better.

Owlvamp, glad Hercules had a good night, sorry you didn't sleep well. I hear you on the shoulder pain, I have been pain in my right shoulder constantly and don't know why. I have to go get an x-ray and then make a appt. with a specialist.

Brenda, I started on one of the patterns you linked me, I'll finish it today and try to post pictures.

Well have to run hope everybody has a great day

Katiebug and #1 I have a lot of weeding to do too. Its another rainy day here. Its been cloudy damp and rainy for nearly two weeks now but we were in a mod to severe drought so wont complain too much.

Well knew it was too good to be true--- that I had managed to stop the dogs from digging at the shed. Made it a week but I caught them today so I know for sure the ones responsible. I contacted the neighbor and she said the will keep them in the house more. Said they had been running off too much and too long. She said they had been coming back covered in mud and thought they had been running down at the creek. Told her nope they had been digging over here and are stsrting to damage floor joists on the shed.

Mary Jo found some stocking patterns you might be interested in. One of the ladies on Ravelry just wrote out a knitted one for Warmth for Warriors

Here are a couple of other cute mini stockings that were made for W for W. I love the little bell on the elf shoe stocking.

Rene' looking forward to seeing your stocking. I havent tried either of those patterns. I found the one while it was available but dont exactly follow it either. I do the cuff, hanging loop, single crochet the sides and ends shut then add the double crochets for the toe all in one piece to cut down on ends. The other pattern is close. It has an extra round on the granny square, no cuff and uses double crochet to close the end and side.

Good Morning.

Been somewhat busy.  They came and replaced the pool pump yesterday, Finally.  They were suppose to do it last Thurs., but they forgot to order a new pump, so we did and saved about $200.

Today the electricians are coming, as the light over the front door is out again.  Come on they are 7 yr. swirly bulbs.  We just had them here to check it out.  I wish I could do it, but it is between 10 and 12 feet from floor to ceiling.

Hey we can use some rain here.  It seems to skirt us.  We are Hazy, Hot and Humid.

I sat yesterday and made some stockings.  Hope to get back to making some dolls.

The tote was delivered to Snowbear yesterday, I hope she is ok.

Off to see what trouble I can get into.

Have a fun day

Katiebug, I do hope the wrist gets better.

Good morning afternoon, MaryJo and everyone ~ :compute

We're gettin' to that point of needing someone else to do the maintenance things around here, too.  I hung up some pictures yesterday, finally, and now my shoulder is giving me fits!

We're still having stormy weather around us for most of this week.  I'm getting a lot of crocheting done, tho ~ :crocheting  (I've only got 3 more squares to finish up on that Log Cabin afghan, then I can start putting them together ~ yay!)

Had a call from my son the other day.  I guess 3 weeks ago he and his little wife MOVED from Newport News, VA, where he was stationed at the Naval base, to . . . Pensacola, FL now!  So they're just north of YOU, MaryJo!  They're only going to be there for a few months, until he finishes another go-round of school.  Not sure where he will be stationed next . . . the talk was, maybe Hawaii??  :eek   That is a looong way to visit!  :cry   But we won't know for sure until it happens later this year.  One relief, tho, is that he is  no longer on a submarine ~ :yay    and doesn't have to go out to sea as often, if at all.  He's climbing the ranks ~ LoL

MaryJo ~ what kind of doll-making supplies do you use?  I have a bunch of baby faces, and I think some whole  babies, too, the small ones like you've been working with.  Have to find my cubby-hole where all this stuff is, but I'm a checking, okay?

I also found some cotton balls, too, for Sandra / Owlvamp ~ :D   Just a sandwich bag full, but maybe I'll come across some more tucked away.  Plus, I've got some spare hooks, too, I want to find ~ ;)

Glad to hear that Hercules is doing better!  :clap   As for the aches-n-pains, I guess we can all credit that to this crazy weather, ya think?  I guess this is the "Shoulder Pain" week ~ LoL  Woke up with my shoulder aching, too!

Yeah, Easter is just around the corner, already!  What?  In about 2 wks now?

Thoughts and prayers for everyone ~ :manyheart

Hey all! Quick stop in, been somewhat busy lately. We had DD's birthday party Saturday, and yesterday DH and I got out and did the yard work. I am so sore today and my hands and wrist are swollen from running the weed-eater...I need to find my brace again. That would really help today  :lol  Other than that, I think we're having left over taco stuff tonight. And if it ever stops raining long enough, I'm thinking about taking the kids to the park for a while. Maybe walk the trail, they like doing the exercise stops (climbing ladders, hang on the parallel bars, the push-up bar, those kinds of things). But the way it's going today, that may not happen  :(

Well, anyway, I think I'm going to get off here and look for my brace. At least then I can try to get some yarning done  :D

Hope you all are well or mending!  :hug s and  :ghug  s

That'll do it, KatyBug, on the wrist and hand pain.  But somebody has to do the work, right?  :hug   Maybe taking a couple of non-aspirin will help with the pain?

That sounds like a fun day, going to the park with the kids!  Hope you have a break in the rain, tho, so you can do it.

We're still having storms moving around us, so the next several days is going to be WET, for sure.  It'll be another day indoors, crocheting, playing games, and trying to get more stuff unpacked and gone thru for my house ~ :D   I really felt good yesterday, just hanging up some pictures, which made the house more lived-in and like "home" now!  Tired of looking at bare walls! LoL

Glad you are feeling better Linda...... those tornadoes were scary stuff!

Brenda... all that??/ Goodness gracious! are you sure you are not really an elf...come on...fess up :lol :lol :lol

Went to church, then stopped by a flea market Josh wanted us to see, then home to get ready for our trip, 1st things first... I have my crochet stuff packed!!!

Can you keep a secret?  I love dh so very much... and love spending time wiht him... but 4 days traveling in a car... 24/7.... smh.... gonna have to spend time int eh bathroom just for alone time! I am not sure how stands it! He is more then an introvert then me ( I am NOT an introvert) ... and I'll be just jabbering away and I'll look over and if he didn't love me so much I am sure he would leave me at the next rest area~ :D

I'll have my laptop with me so I can check in while I'm gone...

How so cute, Lea ~ :lol   Me and my sweetie are opposite of you and yours.  Hubby can jabber away for a straight 400 miles, non-stop!  I NEED my crocheting to keep my mind busy, although I do listen, too.  And it does NO good "trying" to listen to the radio or reading, either ~ :lol  I'm not an introvert, but I'm one that doesn't do a lot of talking at one time, either. LoL

Yep!  Crochet stuff HAS to be packed first and foremost ~ :D

Hey all and happy late afternoon/early evening! My hand and wrist are mostly better today, still a little swollen tho.

Snowbear, hope you get your dr appt soon, and that you feel better quickly.

Owlvamp and Lovin2crochet, hope your shoulders start feeling better! That's worse than a wrist and hand pain, harder to move!

It seems that more rain is on it's way here. Just checked the weather report for us and it's not looking fun. They're saying it may flood in some areas (or something like that)  :reyes  :cry  Rain from late tonight until late tomorrow...Looks like we're not going anywhere but where we absolutely have to again.

Well, I'm going to get off here for a bit and take the kids outside for a few minutes, until it starts to rain again anyway. Should be any time now from the looks it  :(

Hope everyone starts feeling better, and those of you who are feeling fine stay that way!  :hug s and  :ghug s

growing up I was painfully shy and quiet,I've had people who get to know me,that they thought I was the most stuck up person

it might have been a bit from growing up in foster care,I'm selective in who I feel I can trust, but once I'm your friend, its life long,I'm still in contact with a childhood friend I met when I was 10,and thats with us moving around constantly with the Navy.

Lovin2crochet

wow, your son was just across the river from us,just a bridge( James River) or a bridge and tunnel ( Monitor Merrimac bridge tunnel) away

to me it might as well be another country,I don't do long bridges

Quick check in. Just been busy here! LOL. We got a new bedframe (well its used but new to us) and are still getting things situated. Ive been organizing some things but I get frustrated as we just have too much for this size house... Trying to downsize, but I have such a hard time with getting rid of things! Going to have to call in the big guns and have Mr Tribble help me with getting rid of some things.

Have a great night all. Talk to you all later.

Wow!  That's where we were visiting at last September, too!  Wish we would have know about you living there, maybe we could have met somewhere for a visit.  That would have been nice! :D   My son has been in the Navy for 13 yrs now, and I guess it looks like he's gonna be a "lifer".  He's glad he's not on the sub' anymore, too.  He's in school again, and the tests are killers, but he seems to like the advancements ~ LoL

I think we went on that bridge, too!  It goes under the sea, if I remember right, doesn't it??  Pretty awesome!

Since I was raised by my grandmother and dad, I was more adult thinking, so my cousins all thought I was stuck-up, too.  Didn't find that out until I was in my 20's ~ LoL   Of course, I was a couple of years older than them, too.  We never were that close it seemed, either, even tho Gramma babysat them during the summer months ~  my aunt's two kids.  That's about as close as I had to a brother or sister.  I'm pretty much a loner, too, so never made friends easily while in school.  Just happy reading or playing by myself. :)

Hubby and I were just having that discussion earlier today ~ LoL ~ who has the most stuff to try and get rid of??  Of course, HE can't get rid of his stuff because he might use it to build something with ~ :P   Yeah, and that's why we keep carting HIS stuff with us all over God's green earth, up and down this highway! :lol   I do have some clutter that I really do need to get rid of, tho ~ clothes I'll never be able to wear again, of course (like I'm gonna fit back into a size 7 again?? Ha! and not at this age, either!), and all the scrap material I've been saving for quilt-making (old sheets, clothing, etc.), not to mention the "goodies" that have been given to me "because you crochet and/or do crafting" ~ :P   I'm thinking, maybe, if I can get more organized in my "new"crafting room, I might be able to get some of this sorted and, either given away, or stacked for easier access.  It's just mind-boggling!  But I'm working on it ~ :D

Hi all. So miss Jade has the stomach flu (started last Thursday) but she's on the up swing for the most part. Except for accident in her play yard last night :( poor baby. She's still on a liquids only diet for most of today with maybe a few bits of dry foods to see if they stay down.

Also, I had a dream last night that Amy and Donna had a summit meeting and a bunch of us were there; they told us they were closing the ville as they were tired of all of us bothering them with our problems. Idk. It was weird.

Good Morning.

I have been trying to catch up with you all this morning.  I have not been on much, as it seems that as soon as I do, something comes up.

Lovin2crochet.  I make clothing for 18 inch dolls for Bailey4's charity.  I also making clothing for 8" and 5" dolls for the same place and give them the dolls to go along with them.  I make totally crocheted or knitted dolls for Peggy85225's charity for the Phoenix Cancer Hospital.  The dolls are for the little kids getting chemo.  I have an egg crate full of yarn doll heads and some faces.

I understand the trying to cleanout or up the craft room.  I keep trying to and somehow I keep getting stuff.

So sorry to hear about the shoulders, this is why I had to give up the yard work.  Bad shoulder, hands and knees.

Ah Poor Miss Jade.  I do hope she feels better soon.

My brother had been stationed in Pensacola for some schooling for the Navy, he ended up in San Diego.  My Dad had been stationed there also during the war and then went on to Hawaii.  My oldest grandson had been in Jacksonville for school and ended up in Hawaii.  They were all associated with fixing airplanes.  The first time I saw the Gulf and the white sand, was when my brother was here.  I thought all water was cold and green and that all sand was grey or brown.  Boy what a shock that was.

The sun is out and we are suppose to be in the 80's today, so I am going to keep cool by making Christmas stockings.

Have a great day everyone and big hugs to you all. :hug  :ghug  :hug

Morning all, quick stop in before I try to get my day started...and hopefully NOT fall back asleep  :lol  Been doing that  lot here lately. Idk what's going on with it, but I'll sit down for a few minutes and the next thing I know, it's between 3 and 5 hours later and I'm rubbing sleep from my eyes. Going to mop, and then if DD is still asleep, I'm going to go for a walk and wash my hair. DS has a dr appt this afternoon for an EKG. We're hoping it's nothing serious and that the dr was just hearing things or the echo (or whatever it is she heard) was just because he'd been sick when we last had him in there. Poor little critter, and we can't seem to get away from these things...

Other than that, I have about a bizillion phone calls to make today, as I forgot to mail off some paperwork. Again. And this evening, I'm *hoping* to be able to sit down ad yarn for a while.

Well, off I go. Since no one (myself included) can seem to make a self-cleaning floor, I guess I better get to it! Have a great day all!  :hug:ghug

Before I forget again...are we doing the emergency call list, and if so, who do I give my phone number to for it? I remember someone saying something about it a couple months ago, but I can't remember who...

I think it was owlvamp that suggested it and I think she said you could give her your number if you wanted to. I dont know that anyone did.

Linda its always interesting to hear about life in places you have lived.

Carole I have been amazed at how many in our group have ties to the Navy. Dh was in the Navy on a carrier and then in the reserves but that was all before me. Now he is in Coast Guard Auxiliary

Lacy hope Jade is better. I can understand your dream. I have wondered for sometime that they might shut the site down since there isnt much activity anymore but about a year ago Amy assured me on Ravelry that Crochetville wasnt going any where.

It was another rainy windy day here.
