Looking for simple baby cardigan patterns

Hi everyone.

 

I had bought some yarn that I thought was DK yarn(3), but it turns out it's sport(2) yarn.  The weight wasn't on the label.  Now I have this yarn and so I thought I'd make a baby cardigan or two out of it but I'm having such a hard time trying to find simple patterns for yarn in this weight category.  Everything I come across is for DK or worsted yarn.

 

Can anyone direct me to some simple patterns for this yarn type?

You might try Drops-Garn Studios. They have several Sport weight yarns and patterns for baby. Be sure to specify which crochet terms you prefer, US or English terms.

If you don't find anything, scarves and cowls are also nice in Sport weight.

I hope by now you've found some patterns that will work for you.

I did forget to mention about the simplest sweater I've ever made for a baby and have made several: The Hexagon Sweater (link to pattern in post highlighted). The pattern is much easier than it looks and can be made for a boy or girl.
