Light Pullover Sweater pattern

SammieLily2

Question

Hello there! I've got an idea for a sweater in mind, but as I've no experience in writing patterns, I was hoping someone could help me find what I'm looking for.

In my head, it's a mesh sweater to keep it a bit lighter. The mesh I'm thinking of looks like the mesh in this pattern but the sweater is closer in design to this one. I'm thinking the neck would be open/not have the ribbing, but the bottom and the sleeves would.

Is there anything out there similar, or can someone point me to a basic pullover guide so I could possibly try my hand at making it?

I'll upload a picture of what I mean exactly in a second, I'll have to do it on mobile. Any help is greatly appreciated! [All of this came to mind after reading the help I received in the General Crochet Help thread I made yesterday.]

Here's the sketch of what I have in mind: https://imgur.com/Ut0Hht7

Are you on Ravelry?  it is my favorite place to look for pattern info.  Here is the Mesh Raglan Pullover http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mesh-raglan-pullover

notice the Projects tab, over 100 people have made it, so if you look at the projects it is possible someone has done similar modifications and posted notes.  (notes can be helpful for all kinds of info about how patterns work out)

it is also a good place to look for patterns that have certain attributes so i will look for mesh pullovers and post if i find anything.

edit---the site is having problems right now with some search functions and they are working on the problem so i will try later.

I couldn't find any mesh pullovers of any weight of that classic shape, with ribbed edges.

Not free

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/classic-mesh-sweater   solid hems, but you could sub post stitches for the 'look'; DK weight

Free

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/152-17-amber  again solid hems, wide neck, DK weight

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/boat-neck-pullover-6  fingering weight, similar to the 'Amber' one above but different neckline

Thank you to both of you! You've been a really great help -- I think I'll be able to work with these and finally figure out what I'm looking for.

Although, if I was just going to follow a pattern with minor alterations, the Amber one is probably the closest to what I'm thinking of.
