10 pcs Set: Hot Mat's Pot Holders & Coasters

Here is a set I crochet for my daughter. I have here pictures of 8 pcs because of 2 extra coasters were not finished by last Sunday. I just took those pictures before she came so she could take that with her. That way I was able to avoid packing & shipping:).

Size of each Hot Mat is about 10" x 12,5", they are big:). My daughter wanted two of them. Pot Holders are about 7,5" square. Hot Mats and Pot holders are double layer , the other sides are blue color. I added few stripes on the left side of those Hot Mat's. Coasters have a blue color felt on the other side. All of those pieces were pretreated with 3 layers of Scotch Guard fabric spray. That way she dos not have to wash that, it will stay looking nice for a long time:).

My daughter was only asking me for two BIG Hot Mat's. She was telling me that she wants them about 12" square. She was telling me that she dos not like those smaller once because a big dishes sometimes "wobbles" when the food is being taken out from the sides of the big dish.  When I sent her a picture of that pattern and a size of that. She like that a lot. I am talking about the size & design, not the colors on that pattern- picture. I knew they were not her colors.

I still have a lot of that yarn left in those 3 colors, I will crochet for her couple smaller Hot Mat's- Trivets. I know they will come handy for  smaller dishes.

I just found 2 more pictures in my camera. Picture of the back those Hot Mat's. They were going to be just blue color in the backs. I just added few stripes in the middle in case something bad an "accident" would happen to the top so those backs would not be just plain. That was a last minute idea, I was already about half way done with that first back. If I would have thought of that earlier I would crochet couple stripes at the top & couple at the bottom, it would look a little better. I just did not want to rip that & start all over again.. LOL.

PS: Tomorrow I will post a pictures of Coasters with a Basket- Set. I crochet that for my daughter coffee table. They are round not square LOL.
