Footie socks

I'm looking for a pattern for footie socks ( below ankle or at ankle) for toddlers to child age 10 knit of course thanks for any help I can get

Heh, I haven't heard 'footie' in a long time, but I know what you mean--I used to wear those (purchased, fabric ones) all the time.  

 

I think a search on slipper, not sock, might work better because the shape is more or less like a shoe (the footie sock is supposed to not show when worn in a shoe).

 

Let me see what I can find...

 

This one advertises 'for the whole family', I don't have a toddler handy to measure but I just looked at 6" foot circumference and it seems pretty small.  But it covers the top of the foot, so not (what I would call) a footie.  Not free:

The rest of the rav search on 'footie', I didn't look at all of them but most seem to be either adult OR child, not both

There sure isn't that many footie patterns out there for children. I did come across this pattern at Garn's Studio. It starts at women's size 5, however, I'm not sure if that's small enough for your needs.  This pattern is also for the same size.
