Need help from experienced knitters

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I have a question. A friend asked me if I could sew together the seam on the back of a baby bonnet she knitted. Since I don't knit very well, can I whip stitch it together like I would crochet, or how would be the best way to do it?

Thanks for your help!

Trying to be a good samaritan,

I would use mattress stitch as it is pretty invisible and gives a great result but really not hard to do  http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring04/mattress.html   there are lots of online tutorials on this and other seaming methods if you want to look for a video.

Personally, I would lean toward helping her learn to do this rather than doing it for her....mainly because i really don't enjoy seaming a whole lot lol
