Crochet diagram help please

Hi there,

 

I am having difficulty understanding the diagram in this drops pattern.

I have done right up to where it says to use the diagram but am struggling with it.  Is anyone able to "translate" :-) it for me please?  I much prefer written instructions. TIA

They are really pretty slippers!

 

The key to the diagram is above the diagram so you should just follow each row around your piece, but I see your problem. These diagrams incorporate another diagram part. Hmmmmm......

 

I am confused also looking at this diagram

I am thinking M1a includes all of each row and M1b truncates it by looking at this diagram but this is a confusing diagram.

If you are on Ravelry, maybe someone on there has made them and can help you if no one else on here can help you.

This might be off the wall but It could be something like this.

 

M1A will be one rnd and M1B will be the next and so on

 

 you start the pattern by 

 

ch 4 sk 1 dc, (do dc special st in info in next st ) ch 1 repeat around join then 

do 

 

1B which is a round of sc join

 

then do  the last rnd of the diagram  

 

 then start that over until you have the size needed

This is the ravelry page I haven't looked through it yet but it seems others had problems too.

If you belong to Ravelry, look at the comments tab at the top of the pattern page (I suspect this isn't viewable if you are not a Ravelry member).  One person has made a lengthy 'translation' of the diagram that others have found helpful; I think it would be against C'vlille forum rules to paste it all here.

M1a includes the beginning of the round, where the turning ch is. For the rest of the round you repeat what is shown as m1b.
