the Battle of Waterloo

Recommended Posts

I am very aware of the 200th anniversary of Waterloo (June 15th)  and I am trying to figure out some way of marking the event in crochet.  I have a fascination with the whole Regency period - even though it is not all lovely.

does anyone have a suggestion?

Wow, interesting idea.

All I can think of at the moment is that France & England's flags are and were red white and blue, as was Belgium's at that time (part of United Kingdom of Netherlands).  Of course the Duke of Wellington was leading an allied army from other countries too...

When I think of Belgium I think of lace....

Not sure how that would all go together though.

I wonder if I could do a regency doll dress in those colours?  Might be good.  we can celebrate the Duchess of Richmond's ball
