Pattern Help

wmartin11

Question

I am new at crocheting and reading patterns.  I have started a chevron afghan and I am about 1/3 of the way done with it....I have realized my borders have been increasing with every row.  So instead of having a straight edge on the sides, I have the pattern that looks like the side of a triangle.  I am not sure I can fix it?  Do I need to take the whole thing apart, or is there a way to modify my pattern?  I am very confused???  I would appreciate any help I can get.  post-74437-0-79955900-1424894752_thumb.jpg

welcome to the ville!  yes, it looks like you are accidentally increasing at the edge.   what pattern are you using?

ripple patterns can be a bit challenging.   I don't know of any way to fix this, you will have to rip out and start over I'm afraid.  I would recommend that you do a smaller practice piece to get the edges figured out correctly, before yourestart the blanket.
