Recommended Pattern for Baby Sweater for a Boy - Worsted Weight Yarn

yarnjeannie

Question

I'd like to make a baby sweater for my new grandson for Valentine's Day.  My preference in yarn is worsted weight - usually Red Heart.  He is 3 months old, but it seems everything I make to fit a 3 month old is too small.  He doesn't seem to be an extra big boy, so maybe it's because I crochet tightly.  So I'm probably looking for a 6 month size.

If you can recommend any patterns (preferably free, but I am not ruling out paid patterns) please point me in the right direction.  I'm easily overwhelmed right now, so the easier the better.

Thanks!

Hexagon sweater.  It says 3 - 6 months.

There is this no holes hexagon sweater.  It just says size infants but over 500 people have made it so if you look through their notes, I bet you find some one made it in the size you want and made notes about it.

Hope that helps or you find one you like. :)

I made the Hexagon sweater by Cozy Corner that Empress Busy Bee recommended (2nd link in her post) and it was very easy to make not to mention quick. I have since made two more, one in pink with white and the other in blue with taupe.

Here's a link to my post about it.
