Giant snow owl

Thank you again to my fgm for this pattern. He was started and then put on hold forever it seemed as other things got in the way. Finally finished and he is HUGE! Taller than the bulldog and the hippo only comes to the top of his wing. lol  My interpretation of a snow owl... needed bigger eyes (yellow safety eyes) but had to use what I had. I think she'll like him anyway.

It's another cutie.  I have enjoyed seeing these.  I never reallized how big they were until you started showing them to us.

That is a very nice owl:).

 

I crochet amigurumi but I never tried to make them out of octagons. I just crochet them in rounds.

That is a very interesting idea. I might try that:).

I don't remember if I measured this one or not but over 2 feet. There is a  lady that makes the patterns for animals out of African flower motifs. She gives very detailed instructions. You can find on Ravelry under Heidi Bears. 

 

The dog was big but as you can see, owl is even bigger lol
