Anyone know of a hug shawl pattern in American terms, there is one on Raverly, but in UK terms and uses 2 strands of WW yarn, I wanted only 1 strand

There are lots of triangular granny stitch shawls if thats what you want.

yes, it is the one on raverly, but uses UK terms and uses 2 strands, I only wanted to use one strand of ww yarn

Print out the pattern.  It very conveniently gives you both terms at the same time , UK term/US term, as in TR/DC, DC/SC.  Cross out all the first half of each term if it confuses you.

 

The pattern can be used with any type of yarn and any size hook appropriate for the yarn you choose; it would just take a different number of rounds to finish it, and may take different yardage.  It starts at the center of the long side, and grows from there.  The only difference would be you would probably want a different # of repeats to get the size you want before you start the edging.

Thanks for your replies, it's the brown one on Raverly, did not see the American stitches, will only use one strand and a J hook
