A doily in size 50 thread

I made this doily yesterday. It is my first crochet piece in size 50. I used a hook size 0,35mm which I bought last week on the Internet (kloeppelkiste.de) and Anker crochet cotton number 50 which I still had from years ago. This doily has 32 rows and the stiches used were: ch, dc, sl st and tr.

After starching and pinning it turned out 30cm (11.7 inch) in diameters.

Here are pictures of my newest doily.

Wow! Did you have to use a magnifying glass? Beautiful!

No, I did not use a magnifying glass but I do use a reading glass for all my crochet works. Since 2006 I had to use glasses for my office work, but only when I had to draw technical block diagrams on the computer. I retired in 2012 and I still use these glasses. I check my eyes yearly with the eye specialist.

That's beautiful. I probably wouldn't even be able to see 50 thread, much less work with it. One of my retirement (that can't come to soon) projects is to work with thread, something I have never done, and all your doilies are an inspiration. Thank you for posting them.

Now I am going to use all my size 50 thread. I made another "miniatur" doily this afternoon with only 18 rows. It is very pretty and I will post it here along with the few others which I am going to make with the rest of the size 50 balls. I think if you have the right tools you can make anything.
