New Crochet Crowd CAL starting Sept. 9

Oh I signed up for it too!  I have to buy the yarn yet because they were out of the white online.  What colors are you doing?

not sure of the colors. I may use stash. I copied down the yardage of the suggested yarn so I know what I need. Good thing there's time!

I just ordered my yarn. I picked the dark purple, black, and white.

Six skeins for a scarf seems like a lot of yarn!

Mona, that's what I thought, which is why I wrote down the yardage for the Caron yarn. I would really like to use stash...don't need to buy more yarn!

Wondering if this scarf has fringe. That would eat up a lot of yarn. I'm going to use stash. Won't match my coat, but it will be different.

I don't have that much yarn in my stash. It cost me a little over 20 bucks to buy it online.

I forgot I was going to tell this story. I was trying to explain what a CAL is to my dad and in the process I told him about the forums here and how we can all talk to each other about crochet and he says "Oh no, now she's joined a yarn cult. I knew it was just a matter of time!"  Anyway, it made me laugh, just wanted to share.

Well, I got my 6 skeins of yarn in the mail today, so I ready for Sept. 9th. I'm excited. This is the first CAL like this that I've ever done.

I finally got my clue #1 email today and worked up the first part.
