Real Deal Posted June 11, 2014 What a great idea! I can't believe I never thought of this. I often make double bottoms for my crocheted slippers, and even make crocheted "patches" I sew on if a toe or heel spot wears through, while the rest of the slipper is in fine shape. I like this fabric bottom idea even better. I haven't wanted to use suede bottoms because of the cost, or flip flops because they have to be glued on. Yuk! Your idea is perfect! Thank you! SupersirenIA Posted June 25, 2014 This is AWESOME!! my hubby has been asking for some of those converse slippers I keep seeing around, and since he's diabetic, he can't have a sole of stitches. It would aggravate his feet too much. I think I may even go one step further and put some "stripes" of fabric paint on the bottom for a more grippy sole. Thanks, Emi! LaVonneK Posted June 26, 2014 Awesome idea, this would totally work with the hexagon slippers by pricilla hewitt. Gotta give this a try after I get done with these boring shrugs I have to do for my sister.
