Now I know I'm doing it right!  I teach a crochet class, and every now and then have to show them how to do this!  It sure beats chasing that bouncing skein all over the place!

You're welcome. I tried it on a skein of Softee Baby yesterday and I did find it still pulled too much yarn out at once, but, I did find the end from inside right away.
