Spring butterfly baskets

A few years ago my friend wanted to participate in a craft show in our city. She made HUNDREDS of tiny butterflies to make earrings. Finally she made some but she had many left.

 

This year we are having a craft show at our school. We raise money for one of our students, the girl suffering from very rare and serious illness. We donate many beautiful items.

My friend just gave me all the butterflies she had. I stiffened them and with my students I made some earrings and brooches. And I made these little baskets.I hope someone will like them They make me think of spring and joy.

The butterflies are smaller than I used to make.
