I had a good laugh. There is so much truth to that both for knitting and for crochet.

I have often wondered about some designs. Even after making allowance for differences in taste, some just seem like they are made just because they can be.

Last year, when I (re)started crocheting, I had to stop myself from making items just because I was able to.

Then, of course, there is the "make-it-quick" issue. Big yarns - big hooks just don't work for everything.
