Spiderweb Table Runner

Recommended Posts

Here's a table runner I've been working on for about 2 years, on and off. It's a standard spiderweb design. I finished off each end with just plain squares when I saw it was a little on the short side. Used Grandma's Best #10 thread for it (I had a couple of 1,000-yd balls), and a 1.5mm hook.

Blocking was almost as time-consuming as the actual crocheting! I blocked it a few times along the way, then blocked the finished project in 2 phases as it was too long for my blocking board. Finished piece is about 56.5 in. x 15 in.  :)

Thanks! :)

Karen, it's hard to tell, I worked on it on and off (sometimes putting it aside for several months!). All in all, it was 'in progress' for nearly 2 years.
