The Hatbox CAL

I'm still making hats as a default position so I thought it might be interesting to revive an old CAL from my early days here at the Ville.  There was a "Hat-a-Week" Cal that was great fun.  In that case there was a specific hat that was to be made during the week.

What I would propose is that we agree to make at least one hat every week.  It can be your own design or a pattern from the net

I would like to collect links to hat patterns in this OP so we have it as a resource

However there is a condition: you can only post a link to a hat you have made or plan to make in the next 7 days.

I was thinking that Monday could be Pics and Posting days.

On that day we can post any hat pics we've made or the link to the hat we plan to make.

For this week we will just get ourselves together and not worry about links - unless you simply must post that link :wlol.  All links are welcome.  I don't purchase from the internet but you can post links to buy-able patterns if you wish.

This works for me as it will not conflict with the charity CALs I am doing or do over the year.

This is an open CAL- join at any time.

Patterns we have found:

Divine Hat

Cloche and scarf set

☕~ Good Morning all.....

~Happy New Year~

I love that hat pattern! I've made a few of them myself!

Quick question......

Are we only to make and share hats with patterns available?

Are we allowed to share a hat that we may have made on our own that we might not have a pattern for?

????

You are free to make any hat you like.  I tend to grab a hook and some yarn and just "make a hat.  if there is no pattern you can share the pic.

I think we need to go into this knowing there won't be a pattern for every hat we see.

This is another good point.  This is not set to be a charity CAL.  I will be donating my hats but that is just incidental.

Won't be joining in. Wish I could but I just have to much else going on crochet and otherwise. That being said is it ok if I lurk around?! Love to look at the pictures.

Absolutely!  and if you happen to find a pattern you want to suggest feel free to do Pics and Posts on Mondays. :ghug

The divine hat is my go to hat pattern.  I'm sure I've made 20 or 30..or 50 lol.  http://www.ravelry.com/projects/FrLopLady/divine-hat-5 just a very small selection of what I've done.  They can be made almost any size and slouchied too

I'm not a member there so I can't see the pics but I'll take your word for it.  I have been thinking of variations myself.  I love that stitch :heart

TMy internet went off for a couple of days but I have some hats to show for my down time.

I did a couple of Divines and a couple of tezzies as well.  I like both styles and will try for pics tomorrow.  Thanks all.

I will play along.  I  do enjoy making hats.  I made some this past Dec for my mom's church.  They were collecting hats, mittens, gloves etc.

Welcome aboard.. Making a hat a week is not overly demanding.

I have some pics of hats to post and I should probably post the link to the "Tezzie" hat on You Tube.  Not sure about the pattern but will look for it.

Have used this pattern before. Works up very easy and quick. I used leftover yarn and was able to get a good many hats out of not much yarn. http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/hats-hats-hats.html

First two are specific hats I like. The 3rd link is to the page the other two came from. Has lots of great hat patterns. The site is a wonderful site for crocheters, especially if you crochet for charity.
