two soccerball 'ghans:: the pattern called for a rolled edge, but when I followed the pattern the whole thing rolled- I could have stuffed it and made a pillow!!! so I just made a flat border.  Re-did the edge for the second and got a "flat" rolled edge :)

I'm going to be joining you all this year.  I have some afghans that need to get done, especially for Christmas gifts.  I have 4 that I would like to see completed.  Right now I'm working on Sunbonnet Sue for my daughter.  I'm crocheting each block, then cross-stitching Sue and for the border of each block, I work a round of HDC and a round of DC.  So far I have 8 blocks put together and 4 blocks ready to cross-stitch on.  This post is going to have several pictures.  I'm trying to make each block a different color, except the corners.

Thanks ladies!  I can usually crochet one block during the day and the next day I can cross-stitch on the block.  If my kids don't need me to much.

Thanks again.

Have a great day!

Hot off my hook, my newest afghan.  It is the Leaping Stripes and Blocks afghan from the wonderful Moogly. I absolutely love this pattern and will definitely be making more of these in the future.

The yarn is I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby.  Colors are Brown, Country Blue, Mid Green and White. For the border, I just did three rows of single crochet (white, green, blue) and one row (the brown) in half double crochet.

There are some beautiful designs in here since I checked in last! I love just about all of them. Ok, all of them! :lol

Here's one that I made for my son, with leftover yarn from the drop in the pond baby afghan I did. And then... five more skeins, because I didn't have nearly enough for a full blanket. I finished it just in time for the weather to turn warm, of course, and it's a super bulky yarn! But he loves it, and he was so excited that I made a "squares blanket" just for him.  :manyheart

Finished the log cabin afghan for my stepfather.  Was supposed to be a throw but is pictured on my queen size bed.  Gave it to him anyway but making a different, smaller throw. Log cabin pattern free from Red Heart - just arranged the squares differently.
