Art Doll Challenge: January 2014

Recommended Posts

Our challenge this month: crochet an art doll! Customize the doll to be a self-portrait of you engaging in any of your favorite activities. Customize the doll to look like a friend or family member. You're limited only by your imagination!

We're hoping to have a photo contest or at the very least a photo gallery to show off all your fabulous creations! The photo contest will take place on Facebook, because of the contest apps they have available.

We've created a Facebook event here if you want to keep track of things there as well. Some people will participate in both locations, others in one or the other.

I've created a Pinterest board for our challenge as well: http://www.pinterest.com/crochetville/crochet-art-doll-challenge-january-2014/

Post a picture of your doll here on the Event page, and I'll send you an invite to pin to our challenge board.

Here are some links to free patterns that you can use to get started, or you can create something all on your own:

I'll be curious to see what people come up with- this is something I'm not really into for myself to make, but love seeing what others create!

An art doll can be anything creative. However, for this particular contest, it's what I stated in the first paragraph of the first post:

Our challenge this month: crochet an art doll! Customize the doll to be a self-portrait of you engaging in any of your favorite activities. Customize the doll to look like a friend or family member. You're limited only by your imagination!

The doll needs to look like a person. Other than that, be creative and artistic!

Question: I have looked at the voting and the dolls are really not as the event says...there are all kinds of dolls being voted on...did I misunderstand??
